I am a life-long Kansas Citian. I attended Christ the King grade school and Notre Dame de Sion High School. I received a bachelor’s degree from the Education College at University of Missouri-Columbia, and my Juris Doctor from University of Missouri – Kansas City. I have practiced law in Kansas City for nearly twenty years, including stints at the Kansas City Missouri Prosecutor’s Office, the Jackson County Counselor’s Office, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, and considerable time with my own firm in private practice. Two years ago, I began a hiatus from active practice, and am loving teaching American History and Social Studies to 7th and 8th graders. I am married to John Williams (also a long-time local); we have one daughter, Natalie, who is in the second grade at St. E’s. In my other professional life, I chair the Jackson County Board of Equalization, am President of the American Judges Foundation, and am active in the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City. |
