The purpose of this project is to learn about the life of Edgar Allan Poe and provide a synopsis of one of Poe's poems. Directions: Please go to the Know Poe and Poe Museum websites. These sites include all the information you will need to complete the background information on Poe. In the Poe Museum website, click on the button Poe Life to access the background information. Notice that you have addtional links on the side: timeline, family tree, etc. After completing the biography information, select a poem from the list below and provide a synopsis. Links are provided to access some of Poe's stories and poems. Story: The Black Cat The Sphinx Poems: Annabel Lee The Bells The Raven After reading your poem, go to the graphic organizer and type the information to be placed on your playbill. The information to be included on your playbill can be found on the link to the PowerPoint presentation on slides 12-15. A link to the rubric is included for your convenience. Your graphic organizer must be completed before you can create the playbill. |
