This lesson is about knowing yourself! On this journey you will learn the 8 basic elements of personality types -- more importantly you will learn the four indicators that represent YOUR personality! As you explore your personality you will examine how your "outlook" affects your behavior and how you learn. During the PowerPoint presentation that accompanies this lesson you will learn strengths and weaknesses inherent in your personality too. INSTRUCTIONS: (1) The first thing you want to do is get a copy of the required worksheet from your instructor. (2) Follow the links to your Assessment and complete it -- be sure to allow yourself ample time to complete the assessment. As you finish the assessment it will give you 4 letters--WRITE THEM ON YOUR WORKSHEET IMMEDIATELY! Once you have written it down read the description then explore the other links on that same page. PRINT THEM. 3) After you complete the assessment and write the 4 letters along the top of the page, write them in front of each the paragraphs below too. Now read the other links related to "assessment" and accurately explain what each of the letters that represent your personality mean. (Use a dictionary if you need to.) 4) Under each paragraph are sub-paragraphs. List YOUR behaviors that illustrate you acting out the personality indicator for that paragraph. Stick to that letter only, you will repeat this process for each of the paragraphs. 5) Summarize what you learned about yourself in the last paragraph of the worksheet. 6) Make a copy of your assessment to keep for yourself and turn the original in to your instructor. (Review the RUBRIC before you turn it and make changes as necessary to make sure you got the grade you wanted!) |
