A trackstar is a website where someone can make tracks on particular subject areas. The purpose of having a track is to organize all your ideas and findings in one location making it easy for someone to narrow their search. You have done the work for them in creating an area where many pertinent sites to that particular content being addressed are located in one area. I have created a track on plants and animals. It is as easy as 1, 2 and 3 where you set up an account and then figure out what subject you wish to focus on. Next, you do the research on sites that you think would be ideal for your track and link those sites to your track so that they can be viewed by others. For example, here is my link that I have created through trackstar where students and teachers can find resources for plants and animals as well as another track on solid, liquid and gasses. The value I see regarding these tracks in education is that teachers, parents and students are able to go directly to a track that they may be learning about or teaching and find resourceful information on that particular content area. Tracks are useful and helpful since they concentrate on one subject matter.
