As part of the American lexicon, the term “OCD” has come to take a comical reference to individuals who are seen as meticulous and obsessed with details. However, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a psychological condition that takes a large toll on one’s life.

Often, the condition can be debilitating for the OCD sufferer by consuming large amounts of time and energy. In addition, because OCD is a disorder that stems from overwhelming anxiety, it can cause significant mental distress.
