The internet provides many places to find support for OCD sufferers and the parents of children with this disorder. The following are descriptions of the links to the left.

One of the most extensive and reputable resources is the Obsessive Disorder Foundation. The Obsessive Disorder Foundation is a national non-profit organization that provides information people with OCD and their friends and family. The website is also a fantastic resource for professionals who want to learn how to address the needs of individuals with OCD.

Organized Chaos is a website that is sponsored by the Obsessive Disorder Foundation. The Organized Chaos “webzine” is specifically designed for teens and young adults. The webzine provides a forum for teens to post articles about living with OCD.

MyOCD.org is an online community where a uses can create a profile and participate in discussions about life with OCD. The website seeks to connect people with similar OCD lifestyles so that they can share problems, solutions, and ideas.

Anxiety Disorders Association of America provides information on finding a doctor or therapist. Also, the website provides a free online survey to help determine if you have an anxiety disorder.

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI)

NAMI is the largest organization for mentally ill people and their families in the U.S. It has state and local chapters around the country, sponsors legislation, advocates for mentally ill people, and provides excellent information via its website.

Free Information:

The OCF of Chicago provides a free downloadable booklet for parents of children with OCD. The booklet includes information on everything from symptoms to dealing with OCD at school.
