Our current, short term goals are to make the resource center a place where all teachers, students, and the public feel comfortable and welcome. We hope to encourage the participation of parents of students in the activities of the center. We plan to expand our library of books, periodicals, reference materials, teaching guides, videos, cassette tapes, lesson plans, and classroom activity suggestions, and to set up a system where many activities, such as language workshops for all age levels, conversations groups, current events and book discussions, movie nights, and internet access for research are available. WE WANT TO INCREASE THE USE – BY ALL TEACHERS – OF THE MANY RESOURCES ALREADY AVAILABLE IN THE CENTER THAT WILL HELP THEM TO BECOME MORE EFFECTIVE, MODERN, CREATIVE EDUCATORS. In our new center, this goal will be easier to achieve, when we have room to display the resources in a way that makes them more accessible. |
