Welcome to the arts! I'm very excited to have you all in art class this year. We will learn fundamental drawing tools as well as design holiday crafts. We will be drawing, painting, and doing a bit of sculpting as well. Please be sure to bring materials to class and be prepared for creativity! Once we return from the Mardi Gras holiday, 5th graders will be learning about negative space and composition in artwork. Negative space is the space around and between the object in an artwork. Used correctly it can help improve the look or composition of an artwork, or even create another artistic level in a work. |
