Some of the characteristics of a comic strip are pictorial panels across a page, "balloons” for dialogue, and continuous characters.
Computer-generated animation is easily identified by attention to detail, vivid color, smooth transition in the gradients of color, and at times multiple shadows with greater variation of color.
Hand-drawn animation is easily identified by black edges and limited shadows on flat characters.
Caricatures are cartoons that show exaggerated physical features.
Graphic design artists work with words and pictures in order to deliver a message.
Graphic design is the arrangement of words and pictures to instruct or communicate a special message.
An Editorial Designer arranges words and illustrations and prepares the material for printing.
Layout is the arrangement or format of words and pictures on a page. Typefaces are styles of lettering or fonts.
Illustrators create printed materials that explain or teach.
Advertising Designers create a message using pictures and words in order to sell or promote products or services.
A logo is an icon or a special image that represents a business, group, or product.
