Australia:
Describe the origins and culture of the Aborigines,
The reasons for British colonization of Australia; include the use of prisoners as colonists, The impact of European colonization of Australia in terms of diseases and weapons on the indigenous peoples of Australia.
Locate on a world and regional political-physical map: the Great Barrier Reef, Coral Sea, Ayers Rock, and Great Victoria Desert.
How Australia’s location, climate, and natural resources have affected where people live & how they trade.
The ways government systems distribute power: unitary, confederation, and federal.
How governments determine citizen participation: autocratic, oligarchic, and democratic.
The two predominate forms of democratic governments: parliamentary and presidential
The federal parliamentary democracy of Australia, distinguishing form of leadership, type of legislature, and the role of the citizen in terms of voting and personal freedoms.


Personal Money Management: 4 Factors of Production:
Income, Budget, Credit, Interest, Debt, Savings Natural Resources, Human (Labor) Resources, Capital Resources.

***Open-Notes Tests can be given at any time without notice, So... Always have your portfolio with you in class & up-to-date.

TEST RE-TAKE POLICY (Not applicable for open-note tests): If a student earns a 69% or lower on any test grade, he/she may request a "Re-Take." This will be done on his/her time w/ the use of class notes. The highest grade that can be input into the gradebook for a re-take is a 70%. Each "re-take" will have a specific due date, after which, it will no longer be accepted. This is not a requirement, but an opportunity.
