Who are refugees?
A refugee is a person who flees to a foreign country to escape danger or persecution. In general, refugees flee due to wars or other violence in their home country, although they can also be persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, political opinion or just because they belong to a particular social group. Normally, if they return to their countries or do not flee to other ones, they would face possible death, torture or violence.
