After choosing a TOPIC and doing some RESEARCH, you will most likely have many QUESTIONS! You will need to choose a QUESTION that does not have an answer in a book. Something that you wonder about, that you think others should wonder about, too. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM is your QUESTION turned into a statement! This is what you hope to determine. Example: The problem is to determine how changing the concentration of Aspirin administered to developing plants affects their growth. Example: The problem is to determine if 2-pound test fishing line REALLY holds 2 Pounds of fish. Record statement in your Science Project Log. You will also need 2 TYPED copies: one for your notebook and one for me. |
