BEREAVEMENT AND GRIEF SUPPORT: COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS

"When I lost my child, I needed help to retain hope..."

The death of a child at any age causes a pain only another bereaved parent can fully understand. We know. It happened to us. We are The Compassionate Friends, a non-profit, non-secular support group dedicated to offering friendship, understanding and hope to parents, grandparents, siblings and immediate family members. We know that no loss compares with the death of your child. Together, though, we can help lighten your burden. Please join us. Bring a friend, your pastor, or family members. You can share your feelings or just listen.

We offer two chapters in the North Kansas City area. One group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 7:00pm, at St. Therese, in the Media Center of the Parish and Education Center. Chapter Leader: Jan Rivera, 816-587-9222, or email: janrivera@sbcglobal.net

Our second group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, at 7:00pm, at Platte Valley Bank Community Room, in Smithville: 1 block south of McDonald's on Hwy. 169. Chapter leader: Denise McPherson (a St. Therese parishioner). Contact her at 587-9853 or email: estherkc@aol.com.
