MISSION STATEMENT: "Health is much more than the absence of disease. As a parish community, we strive collectively to be ‘the body of Christ.’ The Health and Wellness committee of St. Therese Parish is committed to advancing our community’s total health and well-being in body, mind, and spirit." We pursue this mission by:
HEALTH and WELLNESS COMMITTEE: This group of parishioners exists to offer their skills to tend to the mind, body and spirit. Many are health care professionals and some have been trained as parish nurses. However, it is not necessary to be a health care professional to participate on this committee. It was through the efforts of this group that St. Therese implemented a CPR/AED process for the parish. The committee is also considering other ways of promoting health and wholeness within our faith community. Anyone interested in learning more about this group should contact Ginny in the Pastoral Care Office. CPR/AED: The parish has three AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) machines: one is in the Gathering Space in the church, and two are located in the school. Many parishioners have been trained in the CPR/AED process so that assistance can be provided when needed, whether at Mass, or for meetings or other gatherings. If you would like to sign up for CPR/AED training, please contact Ginny in the Pastoral Care office. "Last Rites"See page 18 for information on Last Rites. |
