The Middle School Team Dear Parents/Guardians, Each child will progress at his/her own rate, acquiring skills, as he/she is developmentally ready. Building each child's self-esteem and creating a secure foundation for future growth are priorities in our classroom. Here are some ways you can help: • Celebrate your child's success, no matter how small it may seem. This will keep your child enthusiastic about learning and proud of his/her work! • Read with your child everyday, if possible. YES, YOU SHOULD STILL DO THIS! • Provide a quiet space and time for homework. There will be homework EVERY day beginning TODAY. A good parent-teacher relationship is necessary for maximum school success. Throughout the year we will communicate with you through email or notes, reports and parent-teacher conferences. We encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns at any time. You can call us at school (650 312-7588), send us a note or use our preferred method e-mail (jmamis@smfcsd,net and shilton@smfcsd.net, lmcmahon@smfcsd.net, ckillelea@smfcsd.net). DO NOT SEND us an email through ENGRADE we are unable to get to those. We are available for conferences regarding your child’s progress by appointment on school days.
