Hi,

My name is Heidi Humphrey. I have been an educator of students for ten years in the Redwood City School District. My education consists of a Bachelor of Arts degree from Santa Clara University. I continued my education at the College of Notre Dame with a Multiple Subject Credential and CLAD certificate. Prior to receiving my teaching credential, I studied mime with Marcel Marceau at his international school in Paris.

In September 1997, I student taught at Clifford School in first grade. That same year I interned in both first and third grades. For the next three years I taught on my own, second grade. Then I taught fifth grade for three more years. Recently, I am teaching first grade at Selby Lane School for the last four years. I have been teaching and performing the art of mime for over 20 years in the Bay Area. In addition to teaching and performing, I have coached soccer to middle school, high school, and college students.

My hobbies, interests and other things include the love of reading, writing, drama and mime, computers, playing all sports, traveling and continuing to educate myself by learning new things. I would like to make a difference in children’s lives and am dedicated to doing it.

The purpose of this website is to inform teachers, students and parents of valuable information pertaining to education. Teachers and parents will discover a variety of resourceful sites to help support their knowlege. For example, sites where they will learn about a trackstar, a wiki, teacher resources, current educational topics, powerpoints, google tools and be able to see my own trackstar, wiki and powerpoint presentations. Students will learn while having fun playing online games.
